If you provide personal or health information about another person, you should have appropriate authority or a legitimate reason to provide that information.

We may subsequently seek information, consent or authorisation directly from the prospective resident or their legally authorised representative where appropriate.

Where identifiable photographs, videos, testimonials or resident stories are intended for public communication, our website, social media, publicity or marketing, we seek appropriate consent from the individual or an authorised representative, as applicable.

Consent for receiving care does not by itself mean that a resident has consented to the public use of their photograph, video or personal story.

Consent for future promotional use may be withdrawn by contacting us. Withdrawal will apply to future use where reasonably practicable and may not enable us to retrieve material that has already been lawfully published, printed, shared or redistributed.

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to help the website function, understand visitor behaviour, measure website performance and improve our communications.

We may also use third-party analytics or advertising services to understand how visitors reach and interact with our website and to measure or improve advertising campaigns.

Where required, visitors will be given appropriate choices regarding non-essential cookies and tracking technologies.

Where required, promotional communications will be sent based on appropriate consent or another lawful basis.

12. How we protect personal information

We use reasonable administrative, physical and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we hold.

These may include:

  • Restricted access to resident and health information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or as required for legal, regulatory, contractual, accounting, safety or medico-legal purposes.

Different categories of information may therefore have different retention periods.

Health and care records may need to be retained after a resident leaves Priaashraya where necessary for continuity of care, responding to subsequent enquiries, resolving disputes, meeting legal requirements or protecting the interests of the resident or Priaashraya.

We may need to verify your identity or authority before acting on a request involving personal information.

15. Children's information

Priaashraya's services are primarily intended for adults and senior citizens.

We do not knowingly seek personal information from children through our website for the purpose of providing senior living services.

Where information relating to a child is incidentally required—for example, in connection with a resident's family, visitor information or an event—we handle it appropriately and seek parental or lawful guardian involvement where required.

16. Data breaches

If a personal data breach occurs, we will take reasonable steps to contain and assess the incident, minimise potential harm and take corrective action.

Where notification to affected individuals, the Data Protection Board of India or another authority is required under applicable law, we will make such notification in the manner and within the time prescribed.

17. External websites and services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, social media platforms, maps, payment services or other external services.

Once you leave our website or interact directly with a third-party service, that provider's privacy practices may apply. Priaashraya is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third-party websites or platforms.
